Discussion on CCIE SP Technology IOS-XR configures MPLS TE path protection

Let’s configure Path-Protection and let the head-end device (R5) calculate the backup path to the end. The key configuration is as follows:

Among them, “path-protection” means to tell the head-end router to do path protection;

“Path-option 10 explicit name TE-58 protected-by 20” means path option 10, which is the path R5-R6-R7-R8 that we configured before, and is protected by the path calculated by path option 20;

“Path-option 20 dynamic” means that the path of path option 20 is calculated by dynamic calculation, but it is calculated by the way of SRLG, Node and Link Diverse by default. This calculation method actually calculates the backup The path should not intersect the main path as much as possible.
